If I don't do it now...

...I'll never get back around to it. For those of you who have not heard, I got a full time teaching job this week. The day after we moved back I was hired as an aide at Bradford Elem. The week before that they had hired a fourth 2nd grade teacher. Well, last Monday, that new teacher resigned and on Wednesday morning I interviewed for, was offered and accepted the job to take over for the rest of the year. I have actually been in the class as a "sub" since Tuesday. But now I am officially a 2nd grade teacher!

Levi and I were up at school for a couple hours on Friday evening, 5 or 6 hours yesterday and about an hour tonight. We got a lot done but there is still so much to do. We could have maybe gotten some more done but in the midst of all this I went to the doctor on Friday (because I've been sick pretty much since we moved back) and found out I have bronchitis so I have not been operating at 100%.

I didn't tell my students until Thursday morning that their teacher wasn't coming back and that they were stuck with me. They were all pretty much like "ok, whatever". I told them that come Monday, it was going to be like the first day of school all over again. A fresh start for all of us. We'll see how it goes.....stay tuned.
