Day 1 *disclaimer...long and quite possibly very boring*

On my first official day of non-weekend/holiday summer I was up at 7:30. Yeah.....and I don't see it getting much better. Rylee apparently has a 6:30 internal alarm. Oy. Well Levi had to do some cadet orientation flights for CAP so I got up and worked in the flower bed. It was terribly run over by grass. Strong grass. Combined with the pulling up grass and the first P90X work out in, I don't know, 3 months the night before, I can barely move today. Which means that even though we had some good rain last night and the ground should be very soft I am NOT going out to finish this morning.

Anyway, I met Levi at the airport for lunch and then we came home and got some things done around the house. Like hanging curtains! We've been in this house for over a month now and we finally have kitchen and living room curtains! And even more than just having them up the ones in the living room came from very dear family friends and now I think of them every time I see them! AND we had extra panels of the ones in the kitchen so I have come up with a fabulous idea for some wall art. (Pics will come when I eventually get around to getting it done).

All of the curtain excitement was followed by a nap with the puppy (second day in a row) and then dinner at Sealy Flats. Now if I can just shake the feeling that I am supposed to be at work all day this summer thing just might work out!

Predictions for day 2: Well seeing as it already a couple hours in lets see....wake up at 2am to some monstrous thunder and lightning...pray that Rylee stays asleep, or is at least pacified by her newly repaired turtle (another thing I did yesterday)...she didn't. We gave in and let her in our bed where she really didn't sleep as much as lick Levi's head (which she seems to love....to the point of annoyance).....put her back in her crate where she sleeps until 7:30. I finally give in and get up to play so she will stop nipping at my fingers/nose/hair/ear/anything visible. We play for about 5 minutes and she decides she ok to play by herself now. Stinker. I hop in the shower decided that if I am going to be up I am going to be productive. I get out of the shower and Levi and Rylee are both asleep on the bed. Double stinkers. What the rest of the day holds we will see!
