1 Month

1 month old!

• This is one happy baby
• We get big smiles just after she wakes up and during diaper changes
• She likes baths...just not the getting out part.
• She's had a case of baby acne and cradle cap but neither seem to bother her.
• She had not gained all her weight back by her 2 week appointment so Dr. A told us we HAD to feed every 3 hours day and night.  The day part was not a problem as she seems to nurse constantly during the day.  It was a little harder waking up for the night feedings...for mama and baby.
• When she went back to see Dr. A at 1 month she was were she should be so he told us to keep doing what we were doing...which, to be honest, was not always nursing every 3 hours at night :)
• Her first outing was to a Thanksgiving potluck at Daddy's office.  She did really well until she had a dirty diaper, then she realized she was hungry, then mommy and daddy realized they had forgotten the pacifier and then all hell broke lose.
• She quite the little sucker.  She will suck on her fists, her paci, or anything else that is close to her mouth. 
• Sometimes she likes her swing and sometimes she doesn't. 
• She likes to be in someones arms...usually mommy's.
• Towards the end of the month we started giving her bottle at night and she seems to sleep better and longer after her bottle.
• It's a good thing she got lots of clothes because we change the often throughout the day...the hineys seem to need replacing often :)
• She's not a huge fan of tummy time but she is getting really good at holding her head up.  She gets the most practice from being up on mommy and daddy's shoulder.
• Her hair as stayed a light brown and is just now starting to thin out.  Her eyes have turned more brown.
• Everyone says she looks like me and after looking back at a few pictures of myself I agree but she definetly has daddy's length. 
• Some of her newborn sized sleepers are getting too short but she hasn't filled them out in the chest and tummy yet.
• She makes some very funny faces when she's waking up.
