I'm pretty sure this girl has grown by more than a month this time! She is starting to get such a little personality and has started so many new things!
- We started out her 5th month with her 4 month check up- confusing I know. She did really well considering we had to wait quite a while to see the doctor this time. She just laughed and played. She weighed in at 12 lbs 5 oz and was 24.5 inches long keeping her in the 25th percentile for height and weight. He was pleased that she is growing proportionately. She's only 10th percentile in her head size though. He also wanted us to wait until 5 months to start rice cereal since there is a family history of allergies so we will start that today! Stay tuned for pictures :)
- She has started rolling everywhere. There's hardly a blanket big enough to keep her on!
- She's even started pulling her knees up underneath her when she is laying on her tummy.
- She is starting to really find Rylee funny. Rylee can just run into the room and Lydia will start squealing. We got a great video of Lydia laughing at Rylee for getting in trouble for nipping at Nanie's fingers. I'll try to get it posted too.
- She's starting playing in the walker. We put her in the first time last Saturday and she practically just took off in it. She of course can't control where she's making it move but she definitely moves in it.
Lydia had a great first Easter. Family fun time on Saturday night and her first church nursery experience on Sunday. It was the first time she was left with someone other than grandparents and she was not too happy about it.
- She has also started making more consonant sounds with her coos. We are hearing lots of da-da-da-da-da and ya-ya-ya-ya-ya with the occasional ba-ba-ba.
- And last but not least...WE HAVE A TOOTH COMING IN! I had originally thought I had eaten something that was upsetting her tummy because she was having bad diapers, was spitting up a lot and had been pretty fussy- all symptoms of her having diary. It wasn't until Thursday that she was chewing on my hand (which she's done for months) that I felt a little something extra in there. Sure enough I looked and there on the bottom right side was a little white bud. It took be a while to realize that all the symptoms she was having were also symptoms of teething! Let the fun begin!
